
Colonel (Col) Faustina Dennison has handed over command of the Defence Mechanical and Transport Battalion to Lieutenant Colonel (Lt Col) Kojo Abakah Quansah on Friday 25 July 2025.
In her farewell address, she expressed her gratitude to the personnel of the unit for their unwavering support throughout her tenure and urged them to extend the same level of support to the incoming Commanding Officer.

Col Dennison also highlighted some of the notable achievements under her leadership, including the reconstruction and renovation of Delta Company’s offices and garage, refurbishment of the unit’s main gate among others. She expressed appreciation to Tobinco Company and Atlantic Company Limited for their unwavering support to the unit.
The Guest of Honour, the General Officer Commanding, Support Services Command, Brigadier General Selassie Gagakuma, urged the unit personnel to remain loyal and committed to the incoming Commanding Officer, stressing that their dedication would play a crucial role in helping achieve his vision.
He also acknowledged the organisations that supported the Defence Mechanical and Transport Battalion
The event ended with a pulling-out ceremony for Col Faustina Dennison, who is assuming her new role as Chief Army Equipment at the Army Headquarters.
