The purpose of the visit was to introduce himself to the Commandant, discuss matters of mutual concern, strengthen bond and discover new avenues for effective collaboration between both countries. In a brief interaction between the two, Col Kupe noted tabled the need for exchange of training programmes between cadets of GMA and that of Zimbabwe Military Academy since both countries share some standards and methods of training. He also called for intelligence and information sharing in order for both countries to tackle maritime security threats, terrorism and other transnational crimes. Present at the meeting were the Chief Coordinator GMA, Col Nobel Carl Dei-Alorse, Chief Instructor Army, Col Alexander Cann and Director Research Col Mohammed Awudu. Zimbabwean Defence Attaché (DA) to Ghana and Nigeria, Colonel (Col) Philip Kupe has called on the Commandant Ghana Military Academy (GMA) Brigadier General (Brig Gen) Charles Agyeman Prempeh on Tuesday 23 April, 2024.
Brig Gen Agyeman Prempeh presented a plaque to Col Kupe to commemorate the visit.
