Delegations from Stallion Trust, the fund administrators of the Ghana Armed Forces Provident Fund, and Fidelity Bank- Ghana have respectively paid a courtesy call on the Chief of Defence Staff(CDS), Lieutenant General (Lt Gen) William Agyapong on Wednesday, 13 August, 2025 at the General Headquarters.

The delegation of Stallion Trust was led by Mr. Charles Akoto and Fidelity Bank- Ghana by Mr. Opuni Julien respectively. The visit was aimed at sympathising with the GAF and the bereaved families over the recent loss of personnel in the tragic incident and to stand in solidarity with the military during this period of mourning. The Stallion Trust delegation noted that as one of GAF partners, they are deeply affected by the loss of the servicemen. To share in the burden of grief, they donated an undisclosed amount of money to families of the victims.

Mr. Opuni, speaking on behalf of his delegation, explained that as an indigenous institution, incidents that impact Ghanaians is of great importance to them and assured the GAF of their unwavering support. On behalf of Fidelity Bank- Ghana, he pledged financial support to families of the victims.

The Chief of the Defence Staff (CDS) expressed gratitude for the visit, noting that while the Ghana Armed Forces mourns, they draw encouragement from such gestures of solidarity. He assured both groups that bereaved families will receive all the donations made as supports continues to flow in. He added that these acts are deeply valued, as they strengthen the bond between the military and the public they serve.
