Heads of sister security services, led by the Director of the Ghana Prisons Service, Mrs. Patience Baffoe Bonnie Esq, on Wednesday, 13 August,2025 paid a courtesy call on the Chief of the Defence Staff (CDS) at the General Headquarters.

The visit was to express condolences and solidarity with the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) following the recent tragic loss suffered by the military.

Mrs Baffoe- Bonnie speaking on behalf of the Ghana Immigration Service led by the Comptroller General ,Mr Samuel Basintale and the Ghana National Fire and Rescue Service Acting Chief Fire Officer, Daniella Mawuse Ntow Sarpong assured the CDS of the collective support of all sister security services noting their readiness to support in whichever way possible.

She acknowledged the magnitude of the loss to the Armed Forces and the nation, describing it as a reminder of the importance of maintaining strong relationships and unity among all sectors of society.

The CDS in appreciation of the visit, noted that the presence of colleagues from other security agencies provides assurance and courage in a time of grief. He stressed that important lessons have been drawn from the incident and that the findings of the ongoing investigation will help shape stronger and more effective disaster response mechanisms.

He further asserted that the tragedy has become a catalyst for the government to re-examine operational priorities, retool security services and improve working conditions. He pledged that the sacrifices of the fallen would not be in vain, reaffirming the GAF’s resolve to safeguard the nation with renewed determination.
