The tour under the theme “Maximizing Maritime Security Collaboration as a Catalyst for enhanced Maritime Security within the Gulf of Guinea” aimed at enriching the students purview on the importance of intelligence sharing to enhance maritime security. Speaking at a dinner in honour of the delegation at the Ghana Armed Forces Command Mess in Burma Camp, The Acting Chief of Defence Intelligence, General Headquarters(HQ), Brigadier General Stephen Woasedzikpo Parbey entreated personnel of both countries impact the security architecture. This, he expounded by charging participants to apply the theoretical and practical knowledge they acquire through courses and tours overseas in the discharge of their duties. The Acting Chief of Defence Intelligence, stressed on how critical intelligence sharing and cooperation between agencies of both countries are for effective maritime security and combating transnational crimes within the West African sub-region. Leader of the Nigerian delegation Rear Admiral Effah , expressed gratitude on behalf of the Defence Intelligence College, Nigeria to the Ghana Armed Forces and other agencies for the insightful knowledge on maximizing maritime security collaboration. He assured that the valuable information gained would be utilised to enhance maritime security in their country. A 43 member delegation comprising 34 students from the Defence Intelligence College, Nigeria, led by the Commandant Defence Intelligence College Rear Admiral Patrick Effah have ended a 3-day study tour of Ghana on Thursday 14 August 2025.
