The Nigerian Defence Attaché (DA) to Ghana, Colonel (Col) Emmanuel Sholotan, has paid a courtesy call on the Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS), Rear Admiral Issah Adam Yakubu, at the Naval Headquarters on Wednesday 25 September 2024. The visit, which introduced the newly appointed DA to the CNS, aimed to strengthen the bilateral diplomatic ties between the two countries and explore avenues for deeper collaboration on shared interests in regional stability and cooperation. Col Sholotan assured the CNS of his commitment to enhancing diplomatic relations between Nigeria and Ghana, positioning it as a catalyst for reinforcing the existing bonds. Rear Admiral Yakubu congratulated Col Sholotan on his appointment, emphasised the importance of capacity building, and expressed confidence in the DA’s ability to foster strong ties. He also wished him success in his new role.
