During the induction service, the Director, Naval Religious Affairs Reverend Commander (Cdr) David Quayson who preached on the theme "Service in Humility in God Leads to Success", urged the FOC to accept his new role with dedication and humility. He also advised the officers and ratings to strive for excellence through integrity, honesty, and dedication. The FOC in his remarks outlined his vision and stated that the Command, noting that NAVTRAC has positioned itself as a Centre of Excellence in the training of personnel and that of other institutions in the Maritime domain. The Guest of Honour, the Volta Regional Minister, Hon Dr Archibald Yao Letsa, who was represented by the District Chief Executive (DCE), Central Tongu, Honourable (Hon) Thomas Moore Zonyrah, stated that the Government of Ghana has resolved to improve the road network in order to cut short the travelling time from Sogakope to the Base. He disclosed that the contract for the construction of the new road has been awarded and work has commenced. He asked the communities in the catchment area to cooperate with the Command in opening up the communities for development. The Naval Training Command (NAVTRAC) has inducted the newly appointed Flag Officer Commanding (FOC) NAVTRAC Commodore Solomon Asiedu-Larbi into office during a religious parade held at the School of Maritime Operations, Nutekpor on Sunday 21 July, 2024.
