The Member of Parliament for Ledzokuku Constituency Honourable (Hon) Benjamin Ayiku Narteh on Friday 7 July 2023 donated 25 boxes containing 50 pieces of LED Street lights to the Ghana Armed Forces Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC), Whistler barracks in Teshie. Making the donation at the forecourt of the Commandant’s office, Hon Ayiku Narteh said the donation forms part of his contribution as Member of Parliament for the area to the development of the Whistler barracks. He noted and acknowledge the effort of the military in ensuring and maintaining peace and security in the Ledzokuku constituency and therefore assured command that his office is always ready to assist the unit. Touching on the lack of street light on the La-Teshie stretch of the Accra-Tema beach road, the legislator said he was working closely in consultation with the Ministry of Roads and Highways in getting the street lights installed. The Commandant TRADOC Major General Bismarck Onwona expressed his gratitude to the Member of Parliament for the kind gesture and said that the street lights would augment the efforts of command to light up the Barracks.
