Lieutenant Colonel (Lt Col) Harrison Dadzie has taken over command of 49 Engineer Regiment from Colonel (Col) Nuku Kworku Enyonam-Adih at Burma Camp on Friday 15 March, 2024. Colonel Enyonam-Adih stated that an existing ablution unit was also completely reengineered and modernized into 6-pot water closet facility, with bathing unit, changing room for DCS, among others. He congratulated his successor on his appointment and wished him wisdom and good health to take the regiment to the next level. He charged personnel to support him in diverse ways in the quest to uplift the regiment. He thanked the Commander Support Services Command, Brigadier General Selasie Gagakuma for his sterling leadership, tolerance and open-door policy. 
The outgoing Commanding Officer Col Enyonam-Adih acknowledged the support received from Officers, Men, Women and Defence Civilian Staff (DCS) leading to successful implementation of projects including and a borehole, twenty-bed accommodation facility for females at Beijing Barracks, modern ablution complex consisting of 11-bathroom units, urinals and 2 changing rooms to enhance the health of troops.
