The Chief of the Defence Staff (CDS) Lieutenant General Thomas Oppong-Peprah has stated that the Ghana Armed Forces’ (GAF) cooperation with the Chinese Armed Forces should be geared towards maintaining maximum peace and security in the country. He made the statement on Wednesday 24 April 2024 at the General Headquarters, Burma Camp during an interaction with the Chinese Defence Attaché (DA) Colonel Song Jun. The CDS highlighted the Strategic, Logistics, Defence, and Security cooperation between the two countries over the years, emphasizing that both countries would work together to better uphold the partnership for peace and stability. On his part, Colonel Song Jun expressed the commitment of the Chinese Armed Forces to deepen the cooperation with GAF in the areas of training and logistics support.
