The Lebanese Ambassador to Ghana, His Excellency Maher Kheir, has paid a courtesy call on the Chief of the Defence Staff (CDS), Lieutenant General Thomas Oppong-Peprah, at the General Headquarters on Thursday 20 June 2024. Ambassador Kheir in his interaction with CDS, proposed an exchange program for the Lebanese Armed Forces at the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre, aimed at enhancing military cooperation and capacity building. He pledged the support of the Lebanese government to Ghana Armed Forces (GAF), reaffirming the strong bilateral relations between the two nations. Lieutenant General Oppong-Peprah expressed gratitude for the visit and thanked the Lebanese government for offering scholarships to Ghanaians to study Law and General Arts.
