The Ten (10) weeks intensive course was aimed at testing the students leadership skills and conduct of internal security counter insurgency operations in the jungle settings. The course which hitherto was conducted over a duration of eight (8) weeks is designed to train Military personnel in the application of tactics, develop leadership skills and provide an opportunities to plan and execute exercises and operations at various levels of Command commensurate with the ranks and appointments. In the closing remarks of the Commanding Officer (CO) of the Jungle Warfare School (JWS ) Lt Col Jacob Codjoe, he extolled the importance the Military High Command had given to such courses through the provision of needed resources and logistics. He charged participants to return to their respective units poised to impact the knowledge acquired to others. The Jungle Experts comprised Five (5) Commissed Officer’s and Five (5) Non-Commissioned Officer’s (NCO) while Seventeen (17) others are Special Force Operatives undergoing series of training packages. All twenty seven (27) personnel who formed part of Course 1-25 were drawn from the various units of the Ghana Army units.The Jungle Warfare School (JWS) has successfully ended a Special Force and Jungle Experts/Instructors course on Friday 15, August 2025 at Akim Achiase in the Eastern Region.
