The General Officer Commanding (GOC) Northern Command, Brigadier General Frank Nartey Tei, has visited the Yendi Detachment of the 6 Infantry Battalion on Wednesday 24 July, 2024. The visit formed part of his maiden operational visit to all units under his command to gain firsthand information on their operations. As part of the tour, he paid a courtesy call on the Yaa Naa of Dagbon, His Royal Majesty Yaa Naa Abukari Mahama, to seek his blessings. His Royal Majesty Yaa Naa Abukari expressed appreciation to the GOC for his visit. He emphasized that peace and security were key to the development of the area. He urged the GOC to continue maintaining peace before and after the elections in the northern sector. The GOC then proceeded to the Yendi Detachment Camp, where he interacted with the troops and assured them of his efforts to address the logistics challenges hindering their operations.
