GAFCSC HOLDS INDUCTION RELIGIOUS SERVICE

GAFCSC reaffirms commitment to spiritual discipline as it organizes induction religious service for SCSC 47

The Ghana Armed Forces Command and Staff College (GAFCSC) has held an induction religious service for students of Senior Command and Staff Course 47 (SCSC 47) at Hamidu Hall, Otu Barracks, Teshie on Sunday 5 October 2025.

The service, under the theme ‘Building Leaders of Integrity and Service’, brought together faculty, directing staff, students and guests to seek divine guidance and strength. It also reaffirmed commitment of GAFCSC to developing leaders who embody spiritual discipline, moral strength and faith-driven service.

The Chaplain, Lieutenant Colonel N Boahen emphasised that leaders must strive to be vessels of honour, useful to their organisations and pleasing before God. He urged them to uphold integrity, faithfulness and discipline even in the face of adversity as exemplified by Daniel in the Bible.

The Acting Chief Imam the Ghana Armed Forces, Major Mohammed Alhassan cautioned participants against pride, arrogance and stressed that true leadership requires humility and the willingness to engage others constructively in the office to ensure teamwork.

The Guest of Honour, Honorable Hilton John Mitchell, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Managing Director of Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) commended GAFCSC for nurturing leaders who combine professional competence with moral uprightness. He stated that integrity remains the cornerstone of true leadership and urged the course participants to lead with humility, compassion and a strong sense of service to humanity and the nation.
