The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) is set to partner the International Hospitals Group to enhance the operational capabilities of its Medical Services Corps. The Chief of the Defence Staff (CDS), Lieutenant General Thomas Oppong- Peprah made the disclosure when a delegation from the Group and its principal foreign partners called on him at the General Headquarters on Wednesday 24 April, 2024. The CDS reiterated the need for GAF to equip all units and personnel especially in the Northern Region to enable them combat contemporary threats effectively and efficiently. The leader of the delegation, Mr Sintim Aboagye noted, the partnership would enable the Group to support GAF’s kinetic and non-kinetic operations through the provision of hospitals, medical equipment and other logistics. He further recalled that, the two institutions have had beneficial cooperation in health infrastructure and medical logistics in the past, adding their willingness to assist the Armed Forces going forward.
