The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) has embarked on health walk on Friday 5 July 2024, in Burma Camp to create awareness on mental health among male personnel. The event, dubbed “Promoting the Mental Health of Men in a Gender Sensitive Armed Forces,” aims at drawing attention to mental health particularly in men and the need to pay attention to the menace. Personnel covered a total of 5 kilometers of walk within Burma Camp culminating it with football mach. The Chief of Staff at the General Headquarters, Major General Joseph Prince Osei-Owusu mentioned that the event was to create mental health awareness to curb stress-related problems. He advised personnel to be each other’s keeper and open up to ease stress and pressure. He hinted that a conference would be held at the Burma Hall on Wednesday 11 July 2024 to climax the event.
