The Director General, Department of Civilian Establishment (DGCE), Brigadier General (Brig Gen) Anita Asmah has held an interactive meeting with the Defence Civilian Staff (DCS) of the Ghana Armed Force at Burma Hall in Burma Camp on Thursday, 5 October 2023. The meeting was to discuss a proposed re-adjustment and increment of the contributions made by DCS to the Defence Civilian Benevolent Fund, a welfare scheme designed by the Establishment. The increment, which was occasioned after some consultations from DCS and Directors, would be from ten to thirty Ghana Cedis Ghana Cedis (GH₵10 – 30) and would be deducted monthly. Brig Gen Anita Asmah, indicated that an increment the monthly contribution would have a ripple effect on the welfare benefits by the staff during their pension. The meeting also saw the Head of Corporate Business - Old Mutual Ghana, Mr Wisdom Donor acquainting the staff on the products that his outfit could offer. During the presentation, he highlighted the benefits of the Group Funeral Scheme. The benefits cover members, their spouse as well as any critical illness suffered by the beneficiary. The presentation would guide DCS to take a decision on whether or not to subscribe to the scheme.
