The Contingent Commander, Colonel George Abosi Oppong has paid a working visit to the Headquarters of Ghanaian Battalion serving on the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) on Tuesday 29 November 2023. He commended troops for their excellent performance despite the challenging situation they have been confronted with as a result of the Israel-Hamas war and urged them to be on high alert at all times. He urged drivers to be cautious on the road due to its nature and weather conditions to avoid the unforeseen. He also advised them to maintain the highest level of discipline in order to lift the image of the Ghana Armed Forces and cautioned them against posting sensitive information on social media. The CONTICO toured all GHANBATT positions. He was accompanied by the Commanding Officer UNIFIL GHANBATT 90, Lt Col Frank Kwesi, Agyeman, Squadron Leader Leslie Kofi Yalley, Assistant Operations/Air liaison Officer and SWOII Copson Henry Nii Ahene, Ghanbaqtt Regimental Sergeant Major.
