The Chief of the Defence Staff (CDS), Lieutenant General (Lt Gen) Thomas Oppong-Peprah, has pledged logistical support to the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) Sports Teams following their impressive performance at the African Military Games in Abuja (AMGA) Nigeria. The CDS pledged when he met the team at the Burma Hall on Wednesday 4 December 2024 after it won a total of 40 medals and placed fourth in AMGA. He also requested Units to allocate more time for sports personnel to train in their respective disciplines emphasising that the efforts put in place by GAF for the teams to participate in the sporting events demonstrate the importance the Military High Command places on sports development. The Sports personnel thanked the CDS for his exemplary leadership in ensuring they partook in the games and their excellent administration in Abuja.
