Speaking during the inspection, Lt Gen Oppong-Peprah emphasised that the structures when completed would help bridge the accommodation gap faced by Young Officers and Soldiers in all the Garrisons. The prefab blocks, which comprise a bedroom, living area, washroom and kitchen, are part of projects aimed at providing decent housing for Young Officers and Soldiers in the Ghana Armed Forces. VOLTA Company Limited is the lead contractor, for the project. The Chief of the Defence Staff (CDS), Lieutenant General (Lt Gen) Thomas Oppong-Peprah has inspected newly constructed one-bedroom model facilities designed to address the accommodation deficit for Young Officers and Young Soldiers on Thursday 22 August 2024 in Burma Camp.
