As part of efforts to retool and enhance the capability of the Ghana Armed Forces, the Chief of the Defence Staff (CDS), Lieutenant General Thomas Oppong-Peprah, has donated a set of musical instruments to the Armed Forces Central Band Headquarters. The donation which includes a range of instruments such as 5 trumpets, 3 cornets, 5 trombones, 7 clarinets, 4 flutes, 5 French horns, 7 alto and 5 tenor saxophones, 6 tubas, 5 Soprano saxophones and 7 euphoniums took place on Tuesday 14 May 2024. In his remarks, the CDS said the donation was in appreciation of the hard work and diligence of personnel of the Unit. He urged them to remain professional and promised of more logistics support for the band.
