The Flag Officer Commanding (FOC) Western Naval Command (WNC), Commodore (Cdre) Samuel Ayelazono has urged personnel to support the Ghana Navy during the third quarter Religious Parade on Sunday, 28 September 2025. The service, held at the Naval Base-Sekondi and under the theme “Proud to serve with identity”, was also used to induct new executives of Naval Wives Association (NAWA) and Naval Officers Wives Association (NOWA) into office. Commodore Ayelazono commended personnel of the Western Naval Command for their dedication and commitment to duty, and advised them to keep with the good works to uplift the image of the Ghana Navy. FOC also congratulated the newly elected executives of NAWA and NOWA, charged them to execute their mandate well to attract other spouses to join the association. The Clergies in their homily, called on personnel to attribute their service in the military to God, and ought to serve diligently in order to bring Him glory. The Coordinator of NOWA, Mrs Selina Ayelazono charged the inductees to lead with unity, humility and dedication and asked members to lend their utmost support to the leadership in order to make the association a beacon of excellence in their communities and homes. The elected executives of NAWA and NOWA were presented with some regalia as marks of honour and symbols of authority.
