Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Vice Marshal Eric Agyen-Frempong has paid a visit to Air Force Base Takoradi to commiserate with personnel and wife of late Flying Officer Manaen Ampadu on Thursday, 7 August 2025. The visit was necessitated by the tragic crash of the Ghana Air Force Z9 Helicopter at Adansi Akrofuom, claiming the lives of the crew, Squadron Leader Peter Baafemi Anala, Flying Officer Manaen Twum Ampadu, Sergeant Mensah Addo Ernest and 5 government officials. CAS offered the Staff Officers words of comfort and encouragement, urging them to remain resilient and steadfast in the adversity. He also paid a formal visit to the wife of late Flying Officer Ampadu, Lieutenant (GN) Ewuradwoa Kumi-Kyereme to commiserate with her.
