The Army Combat Training School (ACTS) at Teshie Whistler Barracks has held an opening ceremony to commence the Basic Mortar, Basic Medium Machine Gun and Basic Infantry Platoon Weapon Course 1/25 on Monday 4 August 2025.

The Commander of ACTS Colonel Robert Narh, emphasised the significance of the weapon course in providing a strong foundation for Non-Commissioned Officers (NCOs) as they begin their professional development in the Ghana Armed Forces.

He urged the participants to approach the training with discipline and determination. He also added that the course would serve as a crucial milestone in their military careers.

He further encouraged them to prepare mentally and physically for the course, since it would test their endurance, adaptability and leadership potentials.

The participants drawn from the three arms of the service would undergo a 12-week programme to enhance their combat proficiency through intensive instruction in key infantry weapon systems.
