A high-powered delegation from the Agricultural Development Bank (ADB), led by Deputy Managing Director Mrs Sylvia Nyante, on Thursday 14 August 2025 called on the Chief of the Defence Staff (CDS), Lieutenant General William Agyapong, at the General Headquarters. Mrs Nyanteh enunciated that the call was to commiserate with GAF following the tragic 6 August helicopter crash incident. The visit was to equally reaffirm the institution’s readiness to support GAF as it mourns. Lieutenant General Agyapong, speaking on behalf of GAF and the bereaved families, expressed heartfelt gratitude for the gesture. He remarked that the late Minister for Defence was a leader of passion and vision, committed to innovative ideas for strengthening the Armed Forces. Recalling his own encounters with the fallen crew members, he described them as exceptionally diligent and professional. The CDS expressed hopes that hard lessons from this tragedy would inspire national improvement and serve to honour the memory of the departed. He assured the delegation that their sympathies would be relayed to the bereaved families and emphasised that such solidarity fortifies GAF in its resolve to carry on its duties with honour.
