The Army Combat Training School (ACTS) has conducted a 6-day field training exercise in tactics and weapons for 494 officers and soldiers at the Asutuare training camp from Sunday 14 to Friday 19 September 2025

The participants were drawn from the Combat Team Commanders Course (CTCC) 2-25, Young Officers Course (YOC) 2-25, Advanced Non-Commissioned Officers Tactical Course (ANTC) 2-25, Basic Medium Machine Gun Course (BMMGC) 1-25, Basic Infantry Platoon Weapons Course (BIPWC) and Basic Mortar Course (BMC) 1-25.

The Commander ACTS, Colonel Robert Narh, stated that the exercise served as a comprehensive assessment of knowledge and skills acquired during the period and described it as a final filtering exercise which is to test the preparedness for combat situations, covering both tactical and non-tactical courses, including weapon training.

Colonel Narh noted that the training is aligned with Ghana’s national defence strategy which is to ensure personnel of GAF are adequately prepared to defend the country against threats.

He expressed satisfaction with the outcome, commended the participants for their performance and encouraged them to apply the lessons learned in their respective units.
