In a welcome address, the Commanding Officer of the Regiment, Lieutenant Colonel (Lt Col) Jalali Din Ibrahim, commended Officers, Soldiers and Defence Civilian Staff for their unwavering dedication to duty and service. He advised them to remain committed to duty, uphold the spirit of teamwork, demonstrate readiness at all times and exhibit high sense of professionalism. The special Guest of Honour, Commander 16 Artillery Brigade, Brigadier General Selorm Kwesi Amengor, commended the Commanding Officer 66 Artillery Regiment, Lt Col Ibrahim and Commanding Officer Artillery Training School, Lt Col Patrick Atuiri as well as personnel for their exceptional performance in the discharge of their duties which ensured peace and security in the Volta and Oti Regions. He urged troops to act professionally when discharging their duties with the sister security services. He again applauded both Commanding Officers for the developmental projects remain loyal and professional in contributing their quota to the success of the Regiment, Training School and the Brigade. The event was climaxed with presentation of awards to personnel recognised for their hard work and commitment over the years. The 66 Artillery Regiment and the Artillery Training School in Ho, Volta Region has celebrated the 2024 West African Soldiers Social Activities (WASSA) on Wednesday 22 January 2025.
