The annual ceremony featured wreath-laying and associated protocols to honour the memories of those who lost their lives in World Wars I and II and celebrate the survivors. Prayers were conducted by the 4 Garrison chaplaincy, and Ex-Sergeant Osei Kwadwo, a veteran, marked the occasion by reading the Binyon Verses. The General Officer Commanding Central Command, Brigadier General Michael Kwadwo Opoku, laid a wreath on behalf of the security services. Hon Sam Pyne, the Kumasi Metropolitan Chief Executive, who represented the Ashanti Regional Minister, also laid a wreath on behalf of the Government and people of Ghana. Personnel of 4 Garrison and other security services have participated in the 79th Remembrance Day Service at the Cenotaph in Adum, Kumasi, on Monday, 11 November 2024.
