The Defence Civilian Staff of 4 Garrison have organised recreational sports activities at the Ridge Park in Kumasi on Friday 22 November 2024. The event-themed “Nguvu,” which translates to “Strength”, aims to empower civilian staff by strengthening bonds and boosting morale within the establishment. four competitive teams namely Spartans (494, DFC/SFOC), Warriors (4DCE/Signal/QM), Brigadiers (Central Command/4SD/EDUC.), and Falcons (2 Field Workshop/Museum/4MRS). were formed through a merger of various units under the Garrison. Participants engaged in several sports disciplines, including football, tug of peace, eating competitions, Oware, Ludu, Scrabble, and Draught board (Dame). The Falcons emerged victorious, accumulating the highest points across the various events. The Chief Administrative Principal Officer, Mrs Gladys Boahen in her speech, expressed gratitude to all sponsors and participants who contributed to the success of the event. She announced that this would be an annual occasion for the Defence Civilian Staff, promising to continue fostering unity and boosting morale among the staff
