The visit was to express gratitude to the CDS for his visionary leadership and support in expanding the Artillery Regiment into a Brigade during his tenure as Chief of the Army Staff. Lieutenant General Oppong-Peprah underscored the importance of teamwork and acknowledged the critical role of the Chief of the Army Staff, Major General Bismarck Kwasi Onwona, in bringing the Brigade to fruition. The CDS encouraged the delegation to strive for success despite challenges, stating, “There will always be a thousand reasons why it can’t be done, but there will always be one reason why it can be done; look for it.” He further emphasised that commitment and professionalism are vital for achieving success. The Acting 16 Artillery Brigade Commander, Colonel Selorm Amengor, and his entourage have paid a courtesy call on the Chief of the Defence Staff (CDS), Lieutenant General Thomas Oppong-Peprah, at the General Headquarters on Tuesday, 19 November 2024.
