Alhaji Malba was grateful for the presence of the Regiment in the Northern part of Ghana and disclosed that the Regiment would augment the services of NADMO during unforeseen disasters and emergencies. He was optimistic that the Unit would further the inter-agency collaboration between both institutions in training and general disaster preparedness. The Commanding Officer 51 Engineer Regiment, Lieutenant Colonel (Lt Col) Kofi Poku assured Alhaji Malba of his support and further indicate that the establishment will also provide the same support to other institutions within the sub-region. Lt Col Kofi Poku remarked that as first respondent, the Unit would soon provide the necessary disaster support in accordance with the Regional Disaster Management Plan to ensure that adverse events are mitigated and impact on the population reduced. The NADMO staff in their interactions expressed a high level of interest in working closely with the Regiment in areas of Risk Assessment, Data Collection and Monitoring and Training. The Northern Regional Director of the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO), Alhaji Haruna Malba has paid a courtesy call on the 51 Engineer Regiment of the Ghana Army in Tamale on Thursday 21 August 2025.
