The Resident Representative of the President of the ECOWAS Commission (RRPC) in Guinea Bissau and Head of Mission, Her Excellency Ambassador Ngozi Ukaeje, has paid a working visit to the ECOWAS Stabilisation Support Mission in Guinea Bissau (ESSMGB) GHANCOY 4 on Thursday 21 August 2025.


The Head of Mission was received by the Combat Team Commander, Lieutenant Colonel Isaac Keelson Ekow Amoah, who briefed her on the operational, administrative and logistics matters of ESSMGB GHANCOY 4.

She was also updated on some planned projects, including the construction of a Soldier’s Mess, a vehicle park shed and the renovation of accommodation facilities. Additional future projects she was briefed on included a vehicle maintenance shed with workshop and a volleyball court.The RRPC later held a durbar with all ranks of ESSMGB GHANCOY 4, during which she expressed her satisfaction with the contingent’s professional posture and the exceptional leadership demonstrated by the Commander. She urged the troops to remain resilient and disciplined as captured in the unit’s motto, and further reminded them of the need to remain vigilant and ready to defend the ECOWAS mandate before, during and after the scheduled 23 November 2025 general elections.
