The 6 Public Relations Detachment has held a lecture on Media Relations and the Abuse of Social Media for troops at the Army Special Operations Training School (ASOTS) on Thursday, 28 August 2025. The lecture forms part of preparations for troops scheduled to be deployed on Operation MAIDA BUIRI and aims at equipping them with the requisite knowledge to appropriately engage with the media. Facilitating the session, Sergeant Quao Jonathan of the 6 Public Relations Detachment educated participants on Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) Social Media Policy, highlighting acceptable practices, risks associated with misuse and the need for professionalism in the digital space. He noted that responsible media relations and adherence to GAF Social Media Policy would not only safeguard operational security but also protect the image of GAF.
