The National Dog Academy has held a send-off ceremony in honour of Warrant Officer (WO) Michael Bladt in Burma Camp, Accra.

The ceremony eulogized Warrant Officer Michael Bladt of German Armed Forces Technical Advisory Group (GAFTAG) as a dedicated person whose contributions were invaluable to the Academy.

Speaking at the Ceremony, The Provost Marshal and Overseer at the Academy, Colonel Emmanuel Tete Doke, expressed conflicting emotions about the departure of WO Bladt after six years of committed service in training security dogs, which he indicated are crucial to military operations.

He stated that WO Bladt was instrumental in developing key infrastructure that have significantly enhanced the capacity and visibility of the Academy.

Col Doke encouraged all personnel to extend the same level of support to the successor of WO Bladt, WO Rene Lau, and emphasised the need for continued unity and collaboration in building a stronger and more effective training institution.

Warrant Officer Michael Bladt expressed excitement and gratitude to the Academy. He acknowledged that his achievements would not have been possible without the unwavering support of the Provost Marshal and the entire team.
