Services Primary and Junior High School, winners of the Ghana Science and Tech Explorer Prize (G-STEP), have presented their award to the Director Education, Colonel Osman Shanun Zuneidu, on Monday 28 July 2025. The gesture was in recognition of his leadership and ongoing support for science and technology education within Armed Forces schools. Colonel Zuneidu commended the students for their outstanding performance in securing multiple awards including the Best Exhibition Stand and the overall award. He further encouraged them to mentor their younger peers to sustain the culture of excellence and ensure continued success in future competitions. The Director also extended commendation to the teachers and 5 Garrison for their exceptional efforts and commitment. He praised the teachers for the long hours of preparation and teamwork, which led to winning the competition. Speaking on the purpose of the STEM competition launched in 2022, the Computing Facilitator for Services Primary and Junior High School, Felicity Bronya, emphasised that the initiative was designed to nurture creativity and STEM-related skills among young teens.
