The Director of Education, Ghana Armed Forces, Colonel (Col) Osman Shanun Zuneidu, has visited Forces Senior High Technical School (FSHTS), Burma Camp on Monday 28 July 2025. In his interaction with staff, welfare concerns, including the need for medical coverage for teachers during duty hours and the importance of proper staff identification to access entitled benefits, were discussed. Col Zuneidu recounted the challenges staff face when they are not easily identifiable and revealed plans to introduce biometric ID cards to enhance staff recognition. He also acknowledged accommodation challenges and mentioned the availability of land for staff housing, expressing hope that future opportunities would allow for progress in that regard. He commended the staff and assured them of his continued advocacy to address their needs. Earlier, the headmaster of the school, Col John Acquah, outlined significant challenges facing the school, including the stalled Get Fund-backed kitchen and dining hall complex. He revealed that administration has engaged the municipal, regional and Ghana Education Service (GES) headquarters to complete the projects. Col Acquah expressed optimism that with continued advocacy and support, FSHTS would overcome its challenges and continue to deliver quality education.
