Students of Nigerian Armed Forces Command and Staff College (NAFCSC) Senior Course 47/25, led by Colonel Mohammed Miniru Sanni have begun a 5-day study tour of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) and other state institutions.

The tour which commenced on Monday 24 November 2025 under the theme “Harnessing Community-Led Security Initiatives for Enhanced National Security”, aims to study the operations and best practices of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) and national institutions to address security challenges in Nigeria.

The Deputy Chief of Staff at the General Headquarters, Air Commodore Thomas Nii Fio Okai, welcomed the students and encouraged them to build understanding during the tour as the explore the various branches of GAF.

The students visited the Army Headquarters, Navy Headquarters and the Ghana Armed Forces Command and Staff College.

Other institutions visited include Nigeria High Commission in Ghana, National Security Council, Ghana National Commission on Small Arms and Light Weapons, Institute of Democratic Governance (IDEG), Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO), Olam Agri Ghana limited and Kwame Nkrumah memorial Mausoleum.
