The Country Managing Partner of KPMG, Mr Andy Akoto has paid a visit to the Chief of the Defence Staff (CDS), Lieutenant General (Lt Gen) William Agyapong on Thursday 6 November 2025 at the General Headquarters.

The visit was to congratulate CDS on his promotion and appointment and to discuss a strategic partnership aimed at modernising the administrative and financial systems of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF).

Mr Akoto touched on the global reputation of KPMG as a leader in audit, tax, and advisory services with experience in supporting complex organisations to enhance financial and operational efficiency. He stated that his firm was ready to collaborate with GAF in areas such as digital data and asset management, as well as the efficient processing of invoices to promote transparency and accountability.
Lt Gen Agyapong thanked Mr Akoto and welcomed the proposed partnership and reaffirmed his commitment to transforming GAF into a modernised institution.
